Description: Golden-and-silver honeysuckle (Chinese: 忍冬科,忍冬[金银花]) is a species native to eastern Asia including China. It is a twining vine able to climb up to 10m high or more in tree, with opposite, simple oval leaves. The flowers are double-tongued, opening white and fading to yellow, and sweetly vanilla scented. The fruit is a black spherical berry 3-4mm diameter containing a few seeds. The dried leaves and flowers are employed in traditional Chinese medicine, being used to treat fever, cough et al.
